tranquil escape with historical charm

spacious layout classic design key attractions fresh juice
the room offered a spacious layout with classic design elements. i found both a bathtub and a separate shower in the bathroom. i appreciated the proximity to key attractions and walking routes. the buffet breakfast included hot dishes, fresh fruit, and a juicer for fresh juice.
the lunch menu was somewhat limited, which required us to explore other dining options.
Service
9/10
the front desk staff was polite, helping with dvd sorting. every staff member acted professionally. i appreciated their responsiveness.
Dining
8/10
The breakfast buffet had many options, including pastries and cereals. We ate it in the orange room. the darling restaurant offered very good service. i consider this the best start for exploring.
Location
10/10
the hotel is in a beautiful area near echo point and three sisters. its location is also very traditional and beautiful. the position is quiet. but it's close to tourist sites.
Facilities
9/10
The outdoor pool area is beautiful, as is the indoor pool. the hotel grounds are amazing too. i made use of the tennis court and pool room. They are great amenities.

the hotel is perfectly situated. it is close to town and the scenic attractions. i also found it near walks and lookouts. the lounge restaurant had an excellent host (i was charmed!).
i found limited parking at the hotel. some walking uphill was required from the car to reception. not all lights and plugs worked in the room. i hate to say it, but we were glad to leave (it wasn't what we hoped for).

slightly underwhelming stay

tiny room bad breakfast
the location was pretty decent, i will give it that..
Honestly, i'm not sure how this place gets away with calling itself five stars. the room was quite small and the promised view was non-existent.. i also noticed there was no minibar, and that is pretty standard for hotels these days. the breakfast was also pretty bad. Certainly not worth the money.

mixed feelings at this hotel

small gym run-down equipment
The gym was a joke. Its small and felt really run-down. there were hardly any equipment, it clearly needs a refurb. breakfast was honestly the worst i had in a long time, pretty disappointing. the location is fine, but the whole experience did not feel like a 5-star stay at all.
