The Lansdowne offers a convenient location just a short walk from Bourton-on-the-Water centre and its attractions. Guests often appreciate the well-sized and spotless rooms, some finding them particularly cosy and beautifully decorated in a typical English style. The delicious breakfast is also a highlight for many, though some guests in rooms facing the street have noted occasional noise from church bells.

average stay. sewer smell was not ideal

sewer smell strong chemicals
the staff was indeed friendly, and breakfast was adequate, sadly the bathroom in room 12 smelled like sewer overflow. strong chemicals were used perhaps to mask it, but the smell was still there. i kept the door closed, otherwise, i doubt i would have slept.

convenient stay near the centre

car parking cooked options
The hotel stands a minute or two's walk from the centre. There is sufficient car parking, but I recommend using one of the positions at the front rather than negotiating the tight set-up at the back. Breakfast is taken in the main building. It offers a good range of cereals, breads, and cooked options. My delicious 'full english' was freshly cooked to order.
The room was compact and could do with a bit of a touch up on the ceiling. The paint was peeling and cracking. I guess maybe there has been a leak in the past. The bathroom itself was small, and paint was peeling off the skirting board near the shower.
Dining
9/10
Breakfast includes a good range of options. Cereals, breads, and cooked items are available, allowing a customizable meal. The full English option is freshly cooked to order, ensuring a hot breakfast! The dining area is well kept.
