The room looked a bit tired. the shower was also quite weak. I would have liked a stronger water pressure. i booked dinner but then learned there was no chef available.

I enjoyed the big bedroom it was beautifully furnished. All clean and felt new. i slept well in the comfortable bed, i liked the heavy curtains too. i could see the Peaks from our room.
the pub food was not great. the breakfast changed a lot. diluted cordial replaced orange juice, I was surprised. the whole place needs a big overhaul.

the hotel has ample parking spaces available to guests. grounds look directly to Dovedale, convenient. there is a footpath from the back of the hotel to the Dovedale stepping stones, a convenient alternative to driving.

excellent interiorgroundsannoyed staff
the hotel interior felt excellent and it had comfort. the cleanliness of the rooms were good also. there was ample parking and grounds outside.
one staff seemed annoyed whenever i ordered beer. i asked for a toothbrush and he sighed loudly. he reluctantly helped me anyway.
