The Imperial Hotel & Restaurant is in Torteval, the western parish of Guernsey. It occupies a location on the western tip of the island, straddling two beaches. Portelet, a small fishing harbour, is located to the northwest. Runners and walkers can enjoy footpaths around the countryside and cliffs surrounding the hotel. Guests can visit nearby Fort Grey & Shipwreck Museum (1 km), German Occupation Museum (5 km), and Lihou Island (3 km).

Ferry transfers are available from Poole, Weymouth, Portsmouth, and Saint Malo in France. Taxis are available from outside the harbor; the average fare is around £30.
