Culture and Art
Hotel Holt houses Iceland's largest privately owned art collection. Hallways are decorated with old maps of Iceland and 134 lithographs by M. August Mayer. The gallery features artwork of famous Icelandic artists. The oldest painting in the Hotel Holt collection, Gudvangen by Georg Anton Rasmussen, is in the Thingholt event space. Guests can take a self-guided tour of the hotel museum via QR code.

Located in central Reykjavik, Hotel Holt is 5 km from Reykjavik Airport. Laugavegur and Skólavörðustígur shopping streets are a five-minute walk. The Harpa Concert Hall, Alþingi Parliament, and Reykjavik City Hall are also nearby. A bus shuttle is available from the main bus terminal, and a private car pick up can be arranged.
