Rooms at Budir
Hotel Búdir has 28 rooms with hardwood floors and large windows. The Standard rooms are located in the old wing with two separate beds made as king (twin beds available upon request). Four standard rooms feature bathtubs; the rest have showers. Deluxe rooms, also in the old wing, are larger and better furnished, offering queen or king-size beds. Extra rollaway beds are available for a fee. Loft rooms are the smallest, located on the top floor with queen-size beds and sloping ceilings. Suites include a living room, a separate bedroom, and a bathroom with a walk-in shower and free toiletries. Rooms look out to Snæfellsjökull glacier, the church, or surrounding lava fields. All rooms provide heating, tea and coffee facilities, a sitting area, a flat-screen TV, and free toiletries.
Dining at Hotel Budir
The restaurant at Budir is known for its seafood and lamb dishes, served in the dining room. The menu features à la carte options such as shellfish soup, veal tartare, grilled beef tenderloin with oyster mushrooms, and honey-glazed carp, alongside three- and five-course options. Breakfast includes a buffet spread of warm dishes like scrambled eggs, sausages, and bacon, plus freshly baked breads, Icelandic cheeses and ham, cereals, and porridge. The Skyr and white chocolate brownie dessert is worthy of mention. Wines are available to suit the traditional Icelandic food. The adjoining bar has whiskeys, beers, wines, and cocktails.
