My experience had issues. The walls provided insufficient sound insulation. I heard neighbors conversations clearly and doors slammed often. This lack of privacy significantly detracted from the quality of rest I require.

cold roomuncomfortable seating
i was really annoyed that the room felt so cold. the hotel itself also felt chilly, not a good experience . the seating area wasn't comfortable at all and it was too small to sit for a drink. the decor lacked any sort of personality, and the hotel just didn't have a luxurious feel at all.

The hotel has beautiful surroundings and mountain views from all areas! also the service at the swimming pool was great. I could order drinks, and they served them to me right at the pool.
the daylight in the room was annoying, and i wished i had packed an eye mask.

northern lights callmany optionseasy access
breakfast had many options available (i especially liked their skyr). i took advantage of the northern lights wake-up call, it worked. the hotel has easy access to the 'into the glacier' tour which i also booked.
I noticed the soundproofing could have been better. I sometimes heard noise from adjacent rooms.

small portionsunwelcoming staff
I am frustrated because the hotel restaurant really missed the mark. The food tasted okay, but the portions were ridiculously small. I reminded me of I paid a lot for not enough food. the staff at the front desk was not very cute. It took too long to check in, and they didn't explain the hotel services well.
