pleasant stay
family run friendly staff stocked bar
the hotel is family run and very friendly. breakfast WAS excellent. the bar is well stocked and friendly. there is a pool table and games room. the owners ARE there to help with anything.
the steps on the outside to the entrance were not always lit.

Mixed Feelings About My Stay
jammed windows limited options
The room I had was not great. The windows were jammed shut and covered in layers of old paint. I also noticed mold. Dinner reminded me of school dinners. The breakfast options were limited too.

mixed feelings about recent stay
damp smell stale pastries
I found SOME areas needing attention to detail. The bathroom had a persistent damp smell i could not ignore. Also the soundproofing was not effective. I heard noise from adjacent rooms late into the night. This made it difficult to rest before important meetings. I also noticed the breakfast buffet lacked variety. The same items looked each morning. The pastries were also often stale. This did not meet expectations.

surprisingly POSITIVE experience
large portions convenient location helpful staff
the breakfast was a GOOD experience. The portions were large, and it set me up for the day. The hotel LOCATION is very convenient for exploring the town and accessing local amenities. The staff, Wayne and Carrie-Anne, were helpful and tried their best to resolve all issues.
the music from the entertainment room was a distraction some nights.
