“In my opinion, this hotel provides a quiet, discreet base near the Amstel, well-situated for exploring Amsterdam's cultural highlights. Its historical setting is nicely updated, and the option to rent bikes directly from the property adds to the appeal. While some rooms might be compact, the location and updated facilities, in my view, make it a solid choice.”

The staff was very cute and helpful! they helped me in any way they could. the garden is a total oasis. it's relaxing and peaceful out there! the beds are very comfy. I slept like a baby.
the stairs were much. even for this city standards, this is not the place for you if you are sharing with family. the only separate rooms are on the top floors.

an okay stay with some issues

steep stairstiny bathroom
I found a couple of things disappointing. the stairs were really steep and narrow. It was hard to get my luggage up (even though i travel light). also, my room's bathroom was tiny. i practically had to sit sideways on the toilet because it was so close to the door. (i wish i had known that before i booked it).

Good Location, Some Drawbacks

room cleaningprivate bathroommetro locationthin wallstricky stairsmissing receptionist
Daily room cleanings impressed me. I had a private bathroom in the room. The hotel is close to the metro so that was amazing. The location had a walkable distance to lots of things too.
The walls are really thin. You can hear everything the neighbors do and that is very annoying. Stairs were also tricky to use. There was no receptionist when I came.
