Wonderful Anniversary Getaway

The room was very clean, including a comfortable bed and fresh linens. The hotel allocated us a large room, specifically a quiet one as we requested. There was also a fabulous wee veranda at the back, where I sat out and had a drink last night in a lovely garden area, very peaceful.
I must say the decor in the restaurant felt somber and quite depressing. The wine I ordered to start only arrived at the main course. It was not an ideal situation.

Breakfast was quite amazing, served by a lovely lady. She offered fresh scones as soon as they arrived from the kitchen, which i appreciated. All members of staff at check-in were really good..

The hotel provided limited parking on the premises.. I found it very convenient. The classical hotel also featured a fantastic restaurant and a separate bar. This provided good variety.

the staff were helpful. The location was great for exploring the surrounding area. The bed was very comfortable. the ROOM was clean.
My room was on the second floor. The fire alarm went off, and no one said it was a false alarm.
