Self-Catering Units
The resort has 8 newly built self-catering units. Each unit includes a master bedroom en suite, a second bedroom with twin beds, an adjacent bathroom, and 2 sleeper couches in the lounge. Each unit also provides DSTV, a fireplace, and a private patio with braai facilities.
Scenic Golf Course
The Gooderson Monks Cowl Golf Resort features a 9 hole, 18 tee golf course. The course offers views of the Champagne Valley, including Monks Cowl, Champagne Castle, and Cathkin Mountains. The fifth hole is accessed via a swing bridge that crosses the gorge at Hattingspruit. The course also has dams and a river with a small waterfall. The course includes 1x Par 3, 7x Par 4 and 1x Par 5, with a total distance of 3000m and 3104m.
Wellness Centre
The popular Wellness Centre includes a sauna, plunge pool, two Jacuzzis, two steam rooms, and a 24 jet hydrotherapy bath. It also features a fully equipped gym with cardiovascular circuit, weight training, and a juice bar. The Wellness Centre includes La Vita Wellness Retreat, which offers 5 treatment rooms. Guests can rejuvenate with the fresh mountain air and scenic mountain backdrop.
Wedding Venue
Gooderson Drakensberg Gardens Golf and Spa Resort offers the perfect setting to get married. The theatre can be converted into a charming chapel on top of the grand plateau, which has a view of the Highlands' nature reserve. Alternatively, the grand reception area is modeled on the original church in Kloppenheim near Frankfurt in Germany. The vaulted ceilings, views, and steps leading to the reception create an awesome place to exchange vows.
Restaurant and Pub
Guests can enjoy the restaurant and pub, which features a log fireplace in the winter. Gooderson Leisure offers guests the choice to experience the very best of the berg.
