The Cavern Resort & Spa offers standard and superior accommodations. Standard rooms are in garden landscapes. Each standard room includes a bathroom, tea and coffee-making facilities, and a patio. Superior rooms overlook Fern Forest and have private patios. Superior rooms include a TV and bar fridge. Superior suites feature finishings, a fireplace, a patio, a TV, and a bar fridge. Family options range from standard rooms for three with a king-size double bed and a single bed, to interleading units with two bedrooms (one double, one with two singles/bunk beds). The superior family unit features two bedrooms (king-size and two singles), en suite bathrooms, tea and coffee facilities, a TV, a bar fridge, and a mountain-view balcony with a staircase. Superior family suites consist of two bedrooms (king-size and bunk/twin beds), a lounge, en suite bath and shower, tea and coffee facilities, a TV, a bar fridge, a fireplace, and a patio. Amenities in inter-leading family room are fan, electric kettle and a patio. Triple rooms have a desk, electric kettle, and patio. The en suite bathroom has a shower and a bath, and is equipped with a hairdryer. Onsite restaurants are available. Children under 7 dine in a separate dining room with tailored food. The Studio Family Dining Room is between the children's and the main dining room. Breakfast is available 07h30 - 09h00; lunch 12h30 - 14h00; dinner 18h30 - 20h00. Pureed vegetables are in the playroom freezer. Adult meals times nannies are available. Available meal package rate includes breakfast, lunch and dinner daily and tea and coffee. Gratuities, soft drinks and alcohol are excluded.

Location and Access

The Cavern Resort & Spa is in the foothills of the Northern Drakensberg in the Amphitheatre World Heritage Site area. Nearby landmarks include the Tugela River and Tugela Gorge. The resort is halfway between Gauteng and Durban. The Cavern is surrounded by indigenous forests and clear streams. The grasslands are rich with flowers and the forests are home to tree species. There is a 10km Gypsy's Bend Trail and 17km Montusi Gorge Trail

The tariff includes accommodation, three meals daily, teas, and guided walks. TV Lounges (SABC & M-Net) are available. Picnic lunches are offered upon request.
