Decent stay with room for improvement

The outdoor seating areas were really nice. I liked the space to stroll around the hotel. It was good to have a petrol station nearby for buying supplies.
I didn't like the staff, they lacked hospitality. Nobody bothered with us for twenty minutes when we walked into the restaurant. Staff served other people before us, it was quite a bad situation.

good restaurant nice breakfast nice play areas unfriendly receptionist distant room missing assistance
I found a good restaurant on the premises. There was also a nice breakfast. The play areas seemed nice for families with children.
The receptionist was unfriendly upon my arrival. I got a room at the far end of the lodge, and it was quite a walk. No one offered assistance finding my room or with my luggage.

slow service unclean bathroom
The breakfast was fine (I especially liked the omelets).
I found the service quite slow at dinner. I waited over 45 minutes for my meal to arrive. the bathroom was not properly cleaned upon arrival. I noticed hair in the shower and near the sink, which I found quite off-putting.

main path slow service
the tent i stayed in lacked privacy. a main path ran right next to it. some screening would have been nice, especially after two weeks camping in the bush. i hoped for a good meal there, but it was a disaster. i made myself known to staff, but it took 15 minutes for someone to offer a drink. i ordered food. it never arrived. after an hour, i gave up, paid for drinks, and left. at least i had some biltong.
