Firefly, the first automatic accommodation of its kind in Ireland, is 45 km from Dublin. Each of the 18 en-suite rooms includes a pillow top bed, Smart TV with android and iPhone connectivity, iron, rainfall shower, hairdryer, and Nespresso machine. Rooms provide Wi-Fi and a city view. Guests will receive access instructions and codes via text message on arrival day.
Breakfast and Dining
For breakfast, One14 Coffee serves sustainable coffees, teas, and bites. The Martello Hotel, a short walk away, serves breakfast from 08:00 until noon; mention Firefly for complimentary coffee. Platform Pizza offers takeout and outside dining. Conlon's Wine Bar, located on Brennans Parade, offers wine and small plates. The Harbour Bar offers live music and toasted sandwiches. Fish Bar in the courtyard offers fresh fish.
Things to Do
Firefly is near attractions. Bray Daly is a 10-minute walk. Wicklow Mountains National Park features mountain blanket bogs, including the Lugnaquilla and Liffey Head Bog complexes and Glendalough Wood Nature Reserve. Wicklow Mountains National Park provides activities for groups and individuals of all ages. Killruddery, home to the Brabazon Family since 1618, has gardens, water features, and wooded areas. Glendalough, a glacial valley, includes an Early Medieval monastic settlement founded in the 6th century by St Kevin and is a recreational area for picnics, walking, and rock-climbing.
Location & Transport
Located at 114 Main Street, Bray, County Wicklow A98 N125, Firefly is a 30-minute journey from Dublin city center. A bus stop outside the door connects to the city center. Bray DART station, a short walk away, provides train services along the Dublin Bay coastline. Bray is at the southern end of the M50 motorway. Herbert Road car park, a 2-minute walk, charges €1 per hour, with a max fee of €5 per day (Monday - Saturday 08:30 - 18:30). On the day of arrival you will receive a text message with your access instructions and codes prior to arrival.
Hotel Services
Firefly is a cashless property. Housekeeping is available daily from 09:00 - 13:00. Vending machine on the ground floor sells snacks, drinks, and travel accessories. Check-in is from 15:00. Check out is simple, just gather up your things and go. Just leave your keys in your room. The 3 Arena can be reached via 145 bus to city centre or DART to Connolly Station, then hop on the LUAS to the 3 Arena. For rugby internationals held in the Aviva stadium, the DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transit) is only a few minutes' walk away from Firefly and will bring you straight to Lansdowne road.
