Fence Gate Lodge is generally considered a stylish hotel, often praised for its spacious rooms and comfortable beds, with some suites offering a separate living area. Guests appreciate amenities like Nespresso coffee makers in the rooms and bathrooms equipped with features like twin sinks and walk-in showers. The breakfast is also a highlight, with fresh, local ingredients and homemade granola being particularly popular; however, some guests have noted that rooms facing the road can be affected by traffic noise.
I found the room very nice and neat. Breakfast was amazing. I enjoyed fresh products and locally sourced ingredients. Staff was friendly and helpful!
The room's walls were paper thin. I heard everything from the corridor. The barmaid was very rude when I tried to get a drink. I was not informed about a wedding happening .

I was not told that there was a wedding happening the night i booked. The barmaid was very rude to us and we had to sit in the lobby as there was nowhere else to sit. The breakfast in the morning was so busy.
