a retreat into tranquility

fresh airhelpful stafftiny window
the location offered the scenery i was looking for , with greenery and fresh air a welcome change. the staff were helpful at the hotel reception and in the restaurant and always ready to assist. i appreciated that there were no tvs in the rooms , as i preferred using my laptop.
the room had a tiny window , and this made the room dark because of the limited natural light. i noticed there was no tv or fridge in the room , especially given the price per night.
Location
9/10
the hotel location provides great views with the golf course visible from the windows and balconies , offering a serene backdrop. the site is very clean , and everything is kept to the highest standards.

quiet getaway

nice balconyhomemade biscuitsmissing tv
my room, lodge woods view room pet friendly, included a nice balcony and a huge bed. complimentary toiletries and homemade biscuits were a great touch, i liked that. the grounds were well maintained, i took a walk around them with my dog.
there was no tv in my room and i wish there was. the room felt cold initially and took a while to warm up properly. i think informing guests about events like golf tournaments in advance avoids early morning noise.
Dining
9/10
breakfast had loads of choice, i ate superior quality buffet items. main meals were very nice, i thought the cost worth it. i enjoyed that dogs are welcome at breakfast too.

Every staff member was friendly and helpful. i ate in the restaurant. The service and food were excellent. the breakfast was the best i've ever had, with good quality produce.
i booked a dog-friendly room, more expensive than a standard room. i still had to pay an additional fee for the dog, which should have been reflected in the room rate. the room was quite small and noisy when other guests returned at night.

dog friendly restaurantgreat sized roomtorn dressing gownlimited hours
the staff was polite when i arrived, they offered advice for local spots. the lodge suite i stayed in was a great size for two people and my dog. i found the restaurant to be dog friendly and convenient.
the one dressing gown in the room had a hole in the back. check in was at 3:00 pm, but i was told there was no food service after 4:00 pm because it was a sunday. i feel like i should have been told about the limited sunday hours beforehand.

The staff IS so friendly and helpful here. Ev charging points in car park always are available for us to use. I stayed in the lodge suite and it was a great size for me and my dog.
Towels was rough, sadly. There ARE no TV in the room, so i missed it. I was put in a disabled room close to reception and I could hear people when complained.
