“This hotel's Victorian bones show both grandeur and some wear, though renovations are ongoing. The location, near beaches and Pendennis Castle, is superb, and the staff are notably dedicated. I found the old-fashioned comfort and sea views the strongest assets, while some interior areas could use refreshing.”

A Grateful Stay

generous buffetbeautiful spacespecial locationsuperb building
The breakfast included a generous buffet, I thought. The garden provided a very beautiful space. Its location close to the ocean make it special for me. I did very much appreciate the superb building.
The price I paid seemed excessive when considering what was actually offered. The hotel had a tired interior. I saw heavily worn carpet in the hallways.

This hotel features easy access to the beach. It also provides a short walk into town. The position allows visitors to explore nearby attractions easily. I found several restaurants and shops to be close.

A Peaceful Seaside Retreat

gorgeous buildingbeautiful gardenslovely viewpeaceful location
The gardens presented wonderful views. I was lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves. The room's tea and coffee tray featured bottled water, a cafetière, hot chocolate, herbal teas, and shortbread. Its quiet location was within a walk to the town.
The room had a doorframe that was half finished and unpainted. There were coffee splashes and dust in the room. I also noticed peeling wallpaper above the door.
Rooms

The room was very spacious and clean. It featured a comfortable king-size bed with soft linens. The large windows provided a lovely view. I could see the sea. The bathroom had a rainfall shower.

Fantastic Stay with Amazing Service!

efficient check-inspacious roomamazing bay viewshelpful staff
Check-in was efficient. I got a warm welcome. My room had ample tea and coffee. The grounds are immaculate. The location is convenient for the beach, directly across the street. I walked to town easily in just a few minutes (it was so quick!). Breakfast offered a good choice. I tried cooked-to-order items and was pleased. The staff worked hard to ensure everything was available. The parking was spacious, and that's a plus. The room was very clean and spacious. I loved the amazing bay views. I found plenty of storage space,. The hotel had a lovely reception and dining room, clearly recently refurbished. The staff were polite. I also saw improvements such as the lovely additions, including a cafetiere in the room. I found excellent bathroom toiletries, a nice touch. Breakfast was served to my table (I didn't have to lift a finger!).
The room refurbishment is not complete, so the decor appears slightly tired.
