Nice Stay at Beautiful Lodge

I enjoyed the lake view from Room 122. It offered an unobstructed view of the lake and mountains. The location is special. The breakfast was great (especially the pancakes!). I found the hot tub area superb after hiking each day.
I noticed the outdoor chairs on the balcony were somewhat dirty.

The staff provided a 24/7 shuttle service from the parking lot. They were helpful, (though one time they did not answer the phone). The landscaping was also beautiful with flowers complementing the surroundings.

The location was wonderful.
The room itself was disappointing. It felt quite dated, and the furnishings showed significant wear (the carpet was particularly worn). I also found the lack of attentiveness from some service staff noticeable. There seemed to be a lack of genuine care beyond basic order taking.

The stairs and patios to access the building were not shovelled (a real slip hazard was there). Walking to locations required going up and down hills, so it was a hazard too. I was not told about that when I booked the room (it was really disappointing). Staff seemed too busy, though the workers were helpful and friendly.

The Mount Burgess dining room included a varied breakfast buffet that seemed fresh. The dinner menu at the restaurant was fantastic. Sharnea at the reception acted pleasant and polite and helped us with her knowledge.
The room seemed small. I noticed the quilt looked super wrinkled. The room was meant for three people yet it lacked some glasses and places for everyone to sit.
