Wonderful Wedding Experience!

excellent coordinatorperfect flowthoughtful gesturesdated decor
My wedding was at this hotel in February, and it was so great! The wedding coordinator Zoe and her colleague Ian were excellent. They ensured everything flowed perfectly. I appreciate Zoe's help with my dress during photos on the golf course. Ian kept us hydrated and informed throughout the day, very thoughtful.
The room decor felt quite dated and could benefit from a refresh.

An Acceptable Stay with Some Issues

posh foyerold showercheap fish
The foyer had a posh appearance, a detail I noted upon arrival.
My room felt very dated. The bathroom featured an old shower that dribbled more than sprayed (quite annoying). I also found the fish in the fish and chips to be overcooked and of cheap quality.

Solid Stay

basic amenitiescomfortable bedgood selectionfire door
The room had all basic amenities. A kettle was there. a TV. I found the bed comfortable enough for a good night rest. The bar was nice with a good selection of drinks available. The lobby was clean, and staff were very visible and ready to help.
The corridor fire doors requires soft closing mechanism. The fire door was banging constantly on the door frame. This caused an disturbed night sleep, that impacted the next day.
Service

Staff were helpful and polite. The front desk was always staffed and ready to answer questions. Check-in was quick, it took less than five minutes. I found the staff to be attentive.
Dining

Breakfast offered a variety of options. I saw both hot and cold selections available. The restaurant was clean, tables were cleared promptly. The bar had a good selection of beers and spirits.
Location

The hotel location is quite convenient. It offered easy access to local attractions. I found nearby shops and restaurants within a reasonable distance. I found the area quiet and peaceful.

the room i had, a classic twin room, showed signs of wear. chipped paint was visible near the table, and the shelving felt quite basic. i also noted the absence of usb ports near the bed, a feature i consider essential these days.
