The County Hotel is appreciated for its central Helensburgh location, making it easy to reach the town center. Guests often compliment the spacious rooms, some of which feature bathtubs and even a fridge. The vegetarian breakfast is a highlight for many, although some guests have noted limited parking spaces can make maneuvering a bit challenging when the lot is full. Overall, it's considered a good value, particularly given the comfortable beds.

a satisfactory stay with minor issues

pleasant walktrain stationconvenient fridgeunoccupied deskunwelcoming check-inabsent staff
The walk to the town centre was quite pleasant from the hotel. also, a train station is located very close by. the room included a fridge, i found it most welcome. breakfast offered some quirky options. I tried different dishes each morning.
check-in felt unwelcoming, i had to wait for someone to arrive. the desk was unoccupied at 3:15pm. it reminded me of a burden to hand over the key. i reminded me of i wasn't very welcome.

The staff were very cute and polite. The room was very well decorated. It was spacious and comfortable.
I was not made aware that only a vegetarian menu was available. There should have been some yoghurts and pastries.

Comfortable Room, Limited Hot Water

comfortable bednice decorationsclean towelshelpful staff
The room had a comfortable bed and nice decorations. I found the provided toiletries to be a nice touch. I appreciated the clean towels. Staff members were helpful.
I experienced a period without hot water in the room, making showers difficult.
Service
9/10
The young lady at reception was very polite. She was professional as she checked me in. The staff seemed happy to help with any questions. They looked committed to their roles.
Dining
8/10
I enjoyed the food though I usually prefer meat. There was no beef or pork available during my breakfast. The hotel should clarify its vegetarian-only policy more clearly.
Facilities
9/10
The bathroom was large, and it was very clean. The shower had good water pressure. I enjoyed using it. The room provided all the essential amenities. I didn't find any issues with any facilities, though the room could be more modern.
