the room was clean, i guess. everything else was underwhelming.
The noise was a joke. I could hear everything. the plumbing, seriously! then there was the breakfast. It was really quite sad. choices were minimal, and half the stuff was gone. it seemed like they just couldn't be bothered.

the staff was super friendly and accommodating (they even offered to turn on the heating in my room). one staff member knew i would be out all day. the room was clean. i stayed in a family room and it was nice and spacious with massive gorgeous windows.
i went to the abbey side as they have 2 bars. plenty of staffing were there, but they were all engaged in internal conversation. no eye contact was made with me and there was no acknowledgement. no one was waiting to be served but me.

the staff were friendly, which i appreciated.
the room's condition was not satisfactory. the bathroom taps were loose. a very loud macerator activated each time the toilet flushed. the room requires a complete refurbishment.
