attentive staff varied coffee beautiful building sound proofing dust problem second floor

the staff was attentive. they always made sure i felt welcome. breakfast was included and offered many great menu choices including varied coffee options. the building is beautiful. it is historical and beautifully decorated.

sound proofing was definitely an issue. i could hear everything. i was on the second floor. it was easy to hear front desk activity. cleanliness was also an issue. there was dust everywhere.

excellent boutique hotel experience

historic district rooftop restaurant excellent menu

The hotel's location is fantastic. It is in the historic district and near sites and restaurants. i enjoyed the rooftop restaurant. It seemed to be open whenever needed. breakfast was included and offered a great menu with many choices. the desk staff provided excellent recommendations for dining.

i noticed dust in my room. it was difficult to get the room properly cleaned. i ended up cleaning off the dust myself.

Decent Hotel with Some Issues

water surcharge poor isolation

The hotel charged extra for bottled water. I found this practice quite irritating. The noise isolation was also poor. I could clearly hear furniture being moved early each morning. This made sleeping in difficult.

street sounds noise levels

The staff at the front desk were wonderful. They were attentive to my needs.

The noise levels proved disruptive. The street sounds penetrated the walls, and I could distinctly hear conversations from adjacent rooms. This made relaxing difficult! and impacted my sleep quality.
