The room was quite small. I felt cramped. Noise from the pub below also affected sleep. The receptionist seemed overwhelmed. I experienced a lack of attentiveness from the staff, especially at check-in. The WiFi signal was WEAK.

Breakfast was great with fast service and delicious food. we enjoyed dinner two nights. There were many choices and a children's menu. a bagpiper played out front. It was fun and enjoyed by everyone. the hotel is directly across from the train and bus station. This made getting around easy.
the parking area gets busy because the pub is very popular! this made finding a space a little challenging sometimes.

the staff was lovely! the breakfast was also great and it was brought right to my room.
the hotel seemed a bit old fashioned and i thought it really needed some updating. the wi-fi was also pretty bad and kept cutting out, even when i was in the lobby.

the food i got really impressed me. i found the staff on the floor very attentive. i enjoyed the delicious food. my room was clean and warm i must say.
the room i was in felt really small and dark it did. the bathroom was probably smallest ever i've seen. i was quite disappointed.

The location was acceptable. It was near the train station and some shops.
The noise was excessive. I could hear everything from the bar until after midnight! The entrance hall was downright disgusting. It needs a full painting and refurbishment. Table mats in the restaurant seemed old, too.
