The free parking was very convenient. The staff offered a warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them. The breakfast was excellent. It provided a great start to the day. The room was nice and neat. I would stay here again.

easy parking friendly reception staff spacious room

the parking was easy. reception staff were friendly. i found the rooms spacious. breakfast offered good value for money, and the room was clean. the hotel is perfect if you want to break up your journey to devon or cornwall. the breakfast buffet was also decent.

i found the room smelling bad. the carpets are very old. i couldn't relax in the room. there was a nasty smell inside the room, and the lights were not so bright.

breakfast is self serve, buffet style and fresh. the hotel provides a really nice bar with comfortable sofas. meals are available at very reasonable prices. sausages had barely seen a grill, accompanied by pale bacon.

i received a very pleasant welcome. the staff are very helpful. the staff are really friendly and polite. i found staff to be competent and flexible. karen at reception and carol were especially helpful during breakfast.

helpful staff bedroom size colour coordination fire alarm make over

I found the staff VERY helpful . I also appreciated the generous bedroom SIZE. The colour coordination of the refurbishment looked great and the price was really worth it.

The fire alarm WENT off at 6.45am, a rude awakening. No one apologised or explained the situation. The rooms really need a make over. There are workmen doing up a large room downstairs for meetings.

friendly staff excellent breakfast comfortable sofas great value

i was very happy with the friendly staff and the complimentary water upon arrival. breakfast was excellent, it had a lot of choice. the sofas in the lounge were comfortable. i found the hotel to be a very good value (especially considering the location).

the stair carpets could use some replacing as there were a few small tear holes in it.

soft mattress midnight alarm

the king size mattress was very soft. Both my wife and i had trouble getting a good night's sleep. we also woke up with aching backs. the fire alarm went off at midnight, supposedly due to steam from a shower. I question how they confirmed this at that hour.
