Unique Indoor Accommodations
BaseCamp Young Hostel is located in a former storage facility and offers unique indoor accommodations including retro caravans, American Airstreams, two night trains, two Volkswagen transporters, a Trabant, and a ski gondola. This hostel offers rooms in individual compartments of an old train carriage. All prices include bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi, and parking. Carriage rooms, original American Airstreams, and mobile homes all have access to shared bathroom facilities. Individually styled with its own unique theme, each mobile home has a patio and seating area. Some rooms include a dining area, a barbecue, a terrace, and a patio. Inside the rooms, smoking is not allowed, as there are sensitive fire detectors which could trigger a fine.
Dining and Refreshments
BaseCamp Bonn serves breakfast Monday to Friday between 7:30 and 10 am and on weekends and holidays between 8 and 11 am. Breakfast is always included. For guests there is a microwave, kettle, fully automatic coffee machine, and sink available for use. Snacks and drinks are available at the reception, with an additional snack bar open in the afternoon. A selection of beer and wine is available at the reception. Fruit and a sweet snack can be prepared the evening before for guests leaving before 7:30 am. Restaurants and a supermarket are located within walking distance. Outdoor barbecues are usually possible, and the necessary equipment is provided for a small price. The gallery accessible only by a staircase, is where breakfast takes place. Alternative arrangements can be made for guests.
Events and Leisure
BaseCamp Bonn offers packages for events of between 5 and 500 people, including weddings, private parties, and corporate events. The hostel provides space for fairs and concerts. DJ's, technology, and teambuilding activities are provided to suit individual needs. There is a shared kitchenette for all guests on the gallery, where you find a microwave and an electric kettle. There is information on workshops as well as ideas to get you started. The indoor and outdoor areas are equipped with security cameras. Dogs and pets are allowed in the hall for visitors, but not for overnight stays.

Landmarks nearby include Kunst- und Ausstellungshalle der Bundesrepublik Deutschland (1 km), Hochbunker Dottendorf (1 km), and Deutsches Museum Bonn (2 km). The A562 motorway is a 3-minute drive from the hostel. The hostel offers free private parking. Further paid parking is available next to the Bonnox Hotel, with tickets available for purchase at reception.
