Decent Stay with Some Issues
inedible steakpoor organization
The dinner menu was limited (I expected more variety). The steak I ordered was unfortunately inedible. The scallops were burned, an odd experience given the high prices. Staff, while lovely, seemed to lack organization, a shame.

Mixed Experience. Staff Shortage and Inedible Food
inedible steakdead flies
Upon arrival to a refurbished suite, a smell akin to a 90s nightclub lingered. Dead flies populated the bathroom and shower. A change of rooms and complimentary drinks followed. Dinner was a further disappointment. The steak proved inedible, and the scallops were burned. Organization looked lacking, despite the staff friendliness.

The staff were very friendly. They went over and above when I had some changes in my personal circumstances ahead of the stay. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. The room was very nice, clean, and it had all the facilities we needed.
The soup of the day was supposed to be roasted tomato. When it came it was pea soup. The whitebait was crispy and overcooked. A waiter asked if this was it. I told him it was a starter. He then said OK I'll get onto the next course for you

The food was fantastic. Every meal tasted delicious. i stayed in the beautiful king room. It had everything i needed, like coffee and tea facilities. the room also featured a tv with netflix. That was very useful.
The room was quite cool. The radiator wasn't working very effectively.

the staff was friendly. i enjoyed dinner and breakfast. the room was comfortable and the location was beautiful.
the radiator in the corridor made a loud noise every twenty minutes. it sounded like someone was hammering the bedroom wall. i had to turn it off.

the setting of the building is fine and near waterfalls. the hotel is very peaceful. the hotel is close to waterfalls and walks over the rolling green hills. this location is great for exploring.
