Acceptable Stay, but Disappointed by Some Aspects
mildew smell slow draining shower
Staff were friendly and helpful .
The room smelled strongly of mildew, a problem it seems. The carpet near the bathroom always felt wet, which worried me. The shower also had slow draining, and water leaked into the bathroom and onto the carpet. This issue needs fixing.

uneven experience
stale smoke questionable stains
the staff was friendly enough, i will admit.
the room reeked of stale smoke. the smell was so bad it clung to my clothes and luggage. the air conditioning barely functioned so opening a window did not help. there was also some questionable stains on the carpet, a sight i could have lived without.

the staff was always available at the reception. they were friendly and helpful. the location is close to the gare st lazare. i found many restaurants nearby.
The inner courtyard view was not great. It faced a wall.

Many restaurants are near the hotel, offering various cuisines. there is a bakery-cafe near the hotel selling fresh pastries and sandwiches. It is closed on sundays. the gare st lazare train station has multiple dining options on its lower levels.

The hotel is close to gare st lazare, about a five-minute walk. montmartre, moulin rouge, and galleries lafayette are about 15 minutes away. the area is clean and accessible. The opera and galeries lafayette are 15 minutes by foot.

The room was clean and had sufficient space. the bathroom was big. I noticed that the shower had hot water and excellent water pressure. there was a kettle with free coffee and tea in the room. These items were restocked daily.

musty smell basic breakfast
my room had a musty smell and the air conditioning felt WEAK. i mentioned it to the front desk, but they just shrugged. also, the breakfast was pretty basic and the same EVERY day. don't expect any culinary adventures here. the coffee tasted like it was made last week and reheated.
