Rooms

Abisko Mountain Lodge offers Twin Bed Rooms, Double Rooms, Single Rooms, and Superior Rooms. All hotel rooms include bed linen, breakfast, free Wi-Fi, and access to the Sauna & Relax area. Self-catering cabins are available for up to 4 guests and include Wi-Fi, a kitchen, a toilet (without showers), a refrigerator, and kitchen utensils. Cabins feature 4 single beds on the top floor and are approximately 40sqm. Showers are free for cabin guests.

Dining

Brasserie Fjällköket, the in-house restaurant, has a seasonal menu based on locally sourced ingredients and Lappish cuisine. Vegetarian options are available, and the restaurant accommodates vegan, allergy-related, and other dietary needs with advance notice. The lobby bar is open daily from 11:00, offering Swedish 'Fika,' beer, wine, and cocktails. The café is open from 07:00 to 18:00 and offers coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and cinnamon rolls. Breakfast is served buffet-style between 07:30 and 09:30.

Leisure & Entertainment

Guests have access to the Sauna & Relax area. Hiking is a popular activity, with trails suitable for different experience levels. Guided hikes to Trollsjön and Kårsafallen are available. In winter, activities include ice fishing, snowmobiling, and Northern Lights tours. The lodge can help guests reserve activities and provide winter clothing.

Location & Transportation

Abisko Mountain Lodge is near Abisko National Park (2.5 km) and Torneträsk lake (1 km). Landmarks include the Kungsleden Trail (2.5 km) and Karsavagge (4 km). The lodge is accessible from Kiruna Airport via airport bus, airport transfer, train, taxi, or rental car. The VY Train operates to Abisko, with the closest station, Abisko Östra, a few hundred meters from the lodge. A small grocery store, Godisfabriken Supermarket, is nearby in Abisko Östra.

The reception is staffed between 7 am and 9 pm. The lodge offers assistance with booking activities and provides access to winter clothing. For heli-skiing, Abisko Mountain Lodge cooperates with HeliskiguidesSweden, offering private and semi-private packages with IFMGA-certified mountain guides. Security equipment, including ABS backpacks and Barryvox pulse transceivers, is provided. Airport transfers to and from Kiruna Airport are available.

Yes, warm clothing can be rented, including overalls, shoes, gloves, and hats. Prices start at 250 SEK for the first day, then 125 SEK per day for days 2-4, with a maximum charge of 750 SEK for over 5 days.

Is there a place to store our luggage while we wait for the evening train?
