serene stay in historic house

friendly staff beautiful room delicious breakfast

the staff treated us like royalty. every staff member were great. the room was beautiful and it was the best night's sleep i had during my whole trip! the breakfast was faultless both mornings. i only wished we had more time to try the restaurant for dinner.

the hotel does feel tired! though the toilet seat was very stained. the sheets were rough and there were no bedside lights! one light clipped onto the bed frame did not work.

the hotel is centrally located in stone town with short walks to various attractions. it allowed us to easily explore the area. tourist sites are within a comfortable walking distance.
