Feedback about The White Lion Hotel from previous guests about their experience.

Review summary

Based on recent reviews

The White Lion Hotel is often praised for its lovely, traditional interior decor and character, perfectly complementing the coastal charm of Aldeburgh. Guests frequently appreciate the spacious rooms, with comfortable beds - particularly the 6ft beds in superior rooms - and well-appointed bathrooms, many offering delightful sea views that include the beach, fishing shacks, and the historic Moot Hall. Dining experiences also stand out, with tasty meals in both the Sea Spice restaurant and the brasserie, alongside excellent breakfasts; though some have noted that the exterior may appear a little weathered due to its seafront location. Free parking directly outside adds to the convenience.

I enjoyed the hotel's location right on the sea front (i always appreciate a good view). the staff seemed genuinely friendly. Amy deserves a special mention for her helpfulness. breakfast included beautifully cooked local produce, i thought the extensive menu was nice.

the window was hard to open (a sash cord issue), and the towel rail stayed hot. this made the room uncomfortably warm, even with a fan.
