mixed feelings about my stay

dated room poor soundproofing
the location was acceptable, close to the vaporetto station (about 10-15 minutes).
The room i got felt dated. it was also in an adjacent building, and sound insulation was not good. the armchair in the room was uncomfortable. Sitting there was not pleasant.

art deco style modern hotel walkable location
the art deco style is well preserved. i found comforts and everything i needed in a modern hotel. the staff assisted with information about the beach and moving around. the hotel was walkable to many places.
i wasn't aware that the hotel lent bicycles i discovered this after reading the comments.

underwhelming stay, some issues

missing elevator unstable shower temperature
the breakfast included many options and provided something for everyone.
Our room was located in an annex. it lacked an elevator. This proved quite inconvenient with luggage, the communal balcony was covered in scaffolding. the bathroom shower temperature was not stable, providing warm water only briefly

charming stay

period furniture decor design great way good air conditioning
the villa provides period furniture and decor. stepping into the early 20th century glamour was interesting. the library offered books to borrow. the free bikes became a great way to see the island. i also found the room had good air conditioning.
the water bus station was a 15 minute walk. i should have checked this before. the bus schedule was a mystery.

the receptionists were engaging and pleasant. mirjana and julian provided really good service. their attentiveness greatly enhanced our experience, i must say. the staff provided a water taxi to the airport quickly.

breakfast included fresh produce with nutritional substitutes. this allowed for a healthy and varied start to the day. the garden provided a romantic setting for both breakfast and dinner. dinner there was quite delicious.

The hotel offers complimentary transport to murano. i witnessed the art of glassmaking. there is convenient access to transportation, taxi or walking. And complimentary bike usage is available. it made exploring the city quite easy
the ac never got the room as cool as i wished. i felt a bit warm at night.
