mixed experience at a seafront hotel

faulty minibarrepetitive buffet

i was a little disappointed . the minibar in my onice room wasn't working properly it kept things lukewarm instead of cold. i also found the breakfast buffet a bit repetitive after a couple of days a little more variety would have been welcome.

The breakfast had a lovely variety. i saw options from champagne and oysters to continental items. all eggs were prepared beautifully. the staff were lovely and always helpful. i particularly enjoyed the gym area. It was magnificent.

i noticed some small black flies in the bathroom .

the hotel is approximately twenty minutes from the city center via uber and located by foz do douro. the location offered a lovely ocean view and provided many possibilities for walking along the beach. it had everything i needed.

The breakfast offered a very wide choice. The hotel location on the wide promenade next to the sea was beautiful. Spa facilities were excellent. I found them reasonably priced for a high quality hotel. I hope to return. It had good value.

The room included fresh bed linen daily. towels. The room also has a sitting area on the patio and was clean. The room was overall comfortable, though the shower lacked a privacy curtain.

the valet service was quick and easy. i had sea-facing views from my room. access to spa facilities was a plus.
