There are different viewing platforms along the trails, including one overlooking a reserve waterfall. The reserve provides wheelchair access and a picnic area.

It is 90 km from Aeropuerto de La Fortuna and Juan Santamaría Airport (SJO) in Alajuela, just outside San José. Transportation options from Alajuela and San José include collective shuttles, public buses (from Terminal 7-10, Street 8 San José) are available.
