Location and Access
Utopia Eco Hotel is about 176 miles (284 km) from Guatemala City, 7 miles (11 km) from Lanquín, and approximately 2 miles (3 km) from Semuc Champey. It is near the National Park of Semuc Champey, known for its clear emerald pools. The hotel's land extends 722 feet (220 meters) along the Cahabón River, providing river access. Construction on the road from Lanquin to Semuc Champey has started, making access easier. The village Semil will benefit from the new road and the construction just started. The only way to pass will be by foot. The only way to reach Utopia will be a 1.5km walk. A guide will meet guests at the construction site to walk them to the hotel.

Utopia Eco Hotel provides options for a cacao tour. The hotel offers tourist information. Shuttles can be arranged from Lanquín if needed. The staff speaks Spanish.
