“The location places you squarely in the social heart of Tunbridge Wells, yet manages to offer surprising tranquility. I noticed the staff consistently earn high praise for their helpfulness and local insight. While single rooms lean toward compact, upgrading to a double seems a worthwhile investment for the added space, especially considering the stairs in this historic building.”

The Tunbridge Wells Hotel enjoys a superb location right in the middle of The Pantiles, putting guests within easy reach of its many bars, restaurants, and shops, and close to the train station. Many appreciate the hotel's decor, describing it as stylish with lovely colors, and its Victorian charm adds to the overall appeal. Some rooms are spacious with comfortable beds, and those on upper floors can offer dress-circle views of events in The Pantiles, though it's worth noting the hotel doesn't have a lift. Guests can enjoy breakfast, especially the pancakes.

the staff was friendly and helpful (i liked that a lot). the location is excellent, right in the pantiles area. it was easy to walk to nearby shops and restaurants. the bar area had a nice atmosphere with an open fire.
our room was on the top floor and we found no lift (something important to know in advance). the room needed some maintenance. there was peeling wallpaper and signs of damp around the windows.
