fern stay charmed

attentive staff cooling dip beautiful pool

binto and rajeev are staff i must shout out. they were so attentive and they were helpful too. the pool is clean. it is beautiful. it provided a great space for a cooling dip.

the hotel restaurant had no alcohol, even drinks before dinner were limited. this was a surprise. the promised gin bar were empty too. i wish they had informed me before.

the breakfast buffet provided north and south indian options. staff such as chef anandhu, sandeep, anil, shabna and kesia prepared it. albin, divya, agrej, elevi served. meals were hot and palatable.

the hotel location is near the naval base. it also reminded me of a hotel on an island. travel to the airport uses a taxi company outside the trident entrance. the cost was 1700 rupees.

spacious rooms attentive staff faulty tv limited loungers

the rooms were spacious and clean. i appreciated the comfortable beds provided. the staff was attentive. the outdoor areas were pleasant.

the tv did not work. there were no channels available . there were limited sun loungers around the pool. i noticed only seven available.

Decent Stay with Some Issues

musty smell ineffective ac

The breakfast buffet was extensive enough to satisfy my basic needs (I particularly appreciated the fresh fruit selection).

The room smelled a bit musty upon arrival. Activating the AC helped, but the AC itself didn't cool the room effectively. I reported it three times, but maintenance was unsuccessful in resolving the issue. They offered a room change on the last day, too late.

really good care attentive service

the staff provided very nice care. a staff member, pritram saha, provided really good care! i found the service really excellent and attentive.

i did notice some peeling enamel in the bath of my initial room. i asked to move and was given another room. the hotel addressed the issue efficiently.

underwhelming stay, several issues need attention

bouncy bed inadequate air conditioning

The bed was very bouncy. every small movement transferred, disturbing sleep like a trampoline. the air conditioning struggled. Even at 19c, the room stayed around 23.5c. it created very uncomfortable sleeping conditions.. the tv also failed due to a tripped switchboard, it took hours to fix.
