The Townsend Hotel, Birmingham

The Townsend Hotel, opened in 1988, is a AAA Four-Diamond, Four-Star boutique property with 150 rooms. Accommodations include nine penthouses and specialty suites. Luxury Suites feature French doors separating the bedroom from the living area and an oversized marble bathroom with a soaking tub. Some rooms have balconies. Each Luxury King room has a king bed with a Serta mattress, a glass-enclosed shower, a robe, and chocolate. In-room evolve system technology controls lights, temperature, and service signs. Executive Suites provide an 8-person dining table with panoramic windows. The Presidential Suites offer 850 square feet and a Hastens mattress.
