The Townsend Hotel, opened in 1988, is a AAA Four-Diamond, Four-Star boutique property with 150 rooms. Accommodations include nine penthouses and specialty suites. Luxury Suites feature French doors separating the bedroom from the living area and an oversized marble bathroom with a soaking tub. Some rooms have balconies. Each Luxury King room has a king bed with a Serta mattress, a glass-enclosed shower, a robe, and chocolate. In-room evolve system technology controls lights, temperature, and service signs. Executive Suites provide an 8-person dining table with panoramic windows. The Presidential Suites offer 850 square feet and a Hastens mattress. Select suites include a gourmet kitchen and a fireplace.
Dining at Townsend
The Rugby Grille, a Forbes recommended restaurant, provides appetizers, entrees, and desserts in a setting with white tablecloths, silver, and crystal stemware. Guests can dine in the Grille room, the Gallery, or on the seasonal patio. A children's menu is available. In-room dining is also an option.
Leisure and Events
The Townsend Hotel has event facilities for programs sized from five to five hundred guests. The 5,000 square-foot Townsend Ballroom seats 320 guests and is connected to a 2,100 square-foot foyer. Each boardroom features a retractable, motorized projection screen and a JBL speaker system. The Townsend Hotel's Ballroom provides external access through the loading dock for the ingress and egress of standard production automobiles. The hotel provides lighting, staging and multimedia technology. Should you require a video or audio record of your special event, we can provide for the latest equipment, dedicated bandwidth and technicians. A fitness center is available to guests 24 hours a day.
