fantastic stay

generous bathroom plentiful hot water comfortable bed
I stayed for three nights. the room was charming and had a generous bathroom with plentiful hot water. there were also many seating options in the pub. That was a plus. the bed was large and very comfortable!!!
The friendliness of the staff varied. Some were excellent, others not so much. a little more consistency would make the service great.
Service
8/10
the staff were generally helpful around the hotel. they were very polite at all times. i could see that they were kept quite busy with the number of guests.

underwhelming anniversary stay

small portion tough steak
I am unsure what has changed since our last visit. the food was not the usual standard. my husband ordered steak. It was tough and cold. the garlic bread portion was also small, and the breaded mushroom starter included only a few mushrooms on a side plate.
