The King Charles is in a baroque building dating back to 1639, once owned by Benedictine monks. Gothic and baroque elements remain, including stained glass windows and painted ceilings, alongside 19th-century frescoes and restored stucco. The hotel is composed of 2 ancient city houses, separated by a staircase. The interiors reflect the hotel's history, with ornate wooden beds, exposed wooden ceiling beams, antique furniture, candelabras, and gilt-framed paintings.
