The Avalon Hotel features garden view rooms (204, 205, 304, and 305) with courtyard views, Supple-pedic memory foam king beds, 42-inch flat-screen TVs, desks, safes, microwaves, and refrigerators; balcony rooms (102, 103, 202, 203, 302, and 303) with teak chairs on balconies, partial ocean views, Supple-pedic memory foam mattresses (king or queen), 42-inch flat-screen TVs, desks, microwaves, and refrigerators; Ocean View Rooms (101, 201, 206, 301 and 306) equipped with an open balcony, ocean views and French balcony that include plush queen beds, 32-inch to 50-inch flat-screen TVs, desks, microwaves, and refrigerators. Room 301 and 306 are equipped with an outside wet bar and refrigerator, two teak chairs, plus two lounge chairs. Room 101 and 201 include a Murphy bed upon request.

The hotel can be reached via an hour-long ferry ride or a 15-minute helicopter ride from four ports on the mainland of Southern California: Long Beach, San Pedro, Dana Point, and Newport Beach. Shuttles and taxi service are available for hire. The hotel is within walking distance of Avalon's attractions.
