Tango Mar is located on the Nicoya Peninsula, 10 km from Tambor. The property is a 150-acre private beachfront reserve on Quizales Beach. From San Jose, a 2-hour drive leads to Puntarenas for a ferry to Paquera, followed by a 45-minute drive to Tango Mar. A 25-minute flight from San Jose to Cobano is available. From Liberia airport, a 4.5-hour drive or a 30-minute flight to Cobano is possible. The hotel is 8 km from Cobano airstrip. Nearby are the Cabo Blanco Strict Nature Reserve and Curu National Wildlife Refuge.
