Hotel Taisetsu Onsen&Canyon Resort, located on the highest hill in Sounkyo, provides rooms with a TV, a safety deposit box, and an en suite bathroom. Some rooms feature hardwood areas with Western beds. Guests can select from various room styles, including options with open-air baths and pure Japanese-style layouts. The Premium Room WABO-YUKIHANA offers a private space. Special Room YUKIHOTARU combines Japanese and Western styles with low beds and tatami flooring. Standard twin rooms with beds are also available. Suites include a seating area with a flat-screen TV, safe deposit box, electric kettle, yukata, and heating, plus a bathroom with a bath and complimentary toiletries.

Dining Options

Restaurant Ishikari provides a breakfast buffet with Japanese and Western dishes. HINNAnomori, located in the West wing on the 2nd floor, serves ingredients from all over Hokkaido with arrangements by the chef, offering a selection from main dishes to desserts. Inankur, in the West wing on the 1st floor, features creative seasonal cuisine. Dinner requires check-in before eating. TAISETSU-CHAYA in the East wing on B1 offers sake and ramen from 11:30am-1pm and 7pm-12am. A bakery serves freshly brewed coffee and original bread from 8am-6pm.

Hotel Taisetsu Onsen&Canyon Resort includes recreational facilities such as a hot tub, sauna, hot spring bath, spa, and massage services. Guests have access to indoor/outdoor public hot-spring baths. The hotel offers three large public baths: Tenganoyu on 3F of Taisetsusanso features open-air valley views and is open from 5am-12:30pm and 3pm-12am. TAISETSU, on the 7th floor of the West wing, provides snow mountain views and an open-air bath, open from 12:30pm-10am the next day. CHINITA, on the 1st floor of the East wing, offers a European style bath with unique atmosphere, open from 10am-8am the next day. Guests can use the sauna room and table tennis facilities. You can enjoy open-air bath and karaoke.

Hotel Taisetsu Onsen&Canyon Resort is a 15-minute walk from Sounkyo Gorge and a 5-minute walk from the Taisetsu Kurodake Ski Resort Ropeway. The hotel is 75 km from Asahikawa, near Daisetsuzan National Park and Ginga no Taki Falls, and approximately 60 kilometers from Asahiyama Zoo. A free shuttle is available from JR Asahikawa Train Station. Buses connecting Sounkyo and Sapporo are in operation. A complimentary area shuttle offers rides to nearby destinations.
