“So Sofitel Singapore, in my opinion, strikes a memorable pose with its bold blend of French style and Singaporean verve, right in the heart of the Central Business District. I see a certain appeal in its rooftop infinity pool, the views framed by gold tiles, and the fact that you can walk to Lau Pa Sat hawker market in minutes for a taste of local flavor, though I do worry about the consistently negative remarks regarding room size and service. It seems ideal for business trips where location trumps all else, or for leisure if a quirky, design-led hotel is what you are after.”
