a lovely hideaway

This building has so much character, unlike those main hotel chains. it sits in the countryside, not near an industrial area, i loved it. parking felt ample and completely free. Such a relief.
The room had a faint smell. It reminded me of old smoke lingering in the carpet and furniture.

quite adequate stay

the breakfast was delivered to my room exactly when i asked. it was included in the price. my room called "the winchester" was super clean.. it included tea and coffee. it had an iron and a hairdryer also.
there was no telephone in my room. my bathroom was rather dated. toiletries were in dispensers. i found that to be unfortunate.

Acceptable stay overall

clean roomfriendly staffsmoke smelltemperature control
The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff was friendly and helpful with local recommendations. Breakfast was very good and included a nice cup of tea. The location was quiet and allowed for a peaceful retreat.
I noticed a stale smoke smell in the room and on the furniture. This might have been from previous smoking. The shower temperature was difficult to control and the water was too hot.
