adequate stay with some issues

high showerunusable sink
my room was not the best. the shower head was set really high, and i couldn't adjust it. the windows, looked old, and i was unable to open them. an old, unusable sink sat in the room with its taps, a strange and inconvenient feature.

historical charm!

fabulous locationlovely staffgreat room sizehotel parking
The location was fabulous, allowing easy exploration of local attractions. i found the staff so lovely. They were always ready to help. the room had a great size and felt very clean upon arrival. the hotel provides parking, a real bonus in this area.
The lighting in the corridor felt somewhat dim. This made it a little difficult to navigate at night.

the room offered two bedside tables with lamps, it was a perfect spot for a relaxing read. fresh towels were replenished daily and were so soft. there was also a wardrobe complete with hangers for organised storage.

The building has a lot of history. I participated in a hotel tour. The staff showed pride in the hotel and the town.
The path to the carpark lacked proper lighting. This made walking somewhat unsafe.

acceptable stay with reservations

central locationrusty balconydated furnishings
the location near the town center was acceptable.
The balcony was rusty, and the balustrade seemed broken. It felt dangerous to step onto it. the room rate felt quite high considering the dated furnishings and lack of modern amenities. the absence of a lift in such a building proved inconvenient.

adequate stay but some issues need addressing

small bathroomoutdated decoration
the bathroom was quite outdated and small. the hot water took a long time to heat up. the wall-mounted tv was also very small. there was an extension lead powering the wall-mounted heater. the decoration felt outdated, though livable

the grounds demonstrated historical significance and i could buy a book detailing it.
The corridor outside my room had poor lighting. I found this unacceptable. this oversight could pose a safety issue navigating the hallways at night. the dimness made it difficult to see clearly.
