the hotel's location was convenient. it was about ten minutes by foot from both shin-okubo and shinjuku stations. the hotel also featured many shops, restaurants and convenience stores just around the corner. i appreciated the scale placed in the lobby for luggage weighing.

the semi double room was very small. it was not ideal for two people with two pieces of luggage. i found the bed was also too small for us.

A Reasonably Okay Stay

The staff was so helpful. I needed to forward my baggage and they handled it, but it did take a bit. The front desk spoke English, and that was helpful. I could also check if laundry machines were available on the room's TV. An ice machine was available for free, too.

The room felt very hot, even when I turned off the AC. It was December, so they don't allow using AC for cooling then. I could not open windows. The closest metro station was a bit far away at 15 minutes by foot. It was difficult because I had a lot of luggage.

The location is unbeatable. I could walk to shops and restaurants within minutes. the hotel provided all the amenities i needed during my travels. the staff was helpful with directions and always available.
