The family-run Hotel Fontana is in a restored 18th-century Venetian house. It is located behind San Zaccaria square and a 5-minute walk from Saint Mark's square and the Bridge of Sighs. The hotel has been managed by the Stainer family since 1968, who maintained the original owner's name. The building housed a convent for over thirty years.
