Paradise In Portugal has eight double en-suite rooms, two Family Suites, and a Honeymoon Suite. The Family Suites include Andorinha, a spacious double room with an additional small room containing a bunk bed. Another option is the interconnected Javali and Borboleta rooms, featuring a shared bathroom with both a bath and a separate shower with disabled facilities. Each room includes ironing facilities, heating, tea and coffee facilities, a sitting area, a terrace, and garden furniture. All rooms have free toiletries, an electric kettle, and an AM/FM alarm clock. Rooms feature views of the garden and lake.
Dining at Quinta
The hotel provides a chef to prepare meals. Breakfast is a continental buffet with freshly squeezed orange juice, cheeses, yogurts, bread, butter, jams, honey, cereals, coffee, 'presunto', and fruit. Lunch is a buffet with hot and cold dishes, followed by pudding, with water, tea, and coffee. Dinner is a three-course set menu. The wine list features Portuguese wines.
Leisure Activities
Guests can enjoy activities, including canoeing and paddleboarding. The hotel offers a sauna, a yoga shala, and a solar-heated 'Whatsu' massage pool. Fishing is available in the lake, with local professional fishing guides offering boats, rods, and tackle. Birdwatching is offered with Frank McClintock, a professional birdwatching guide. There are several retreats during the year, as well as yoga and shiatsu massage courses.
Location and Transport
Paradise In Portugal is in the south-western corner of Portugal, 75 km from Portimao. The hotel is 1.5 hours by train from Faro and three hours from Lisbon; the nearest station is Santa Clara-Saboia. Transfers to Santa Clara-Saboia train station are available for €50 for up to 4 people and €65 for 5-8 people. Transfers from Faro airport are €185 for up to 4 people and €250 for 5-8 people. British Airways, Easyjet, Thomson, and Ryanair fly into Lisbon and Faro airports.
Services Offered
The hotel provides high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the premises. Canoes and SUPs are available without extra charge. Minimum stay is two nights, except in August when it is four nights. Check-in time is until 22:00 in high season and 21:00 at other times; late check-in is available with advanced warning. Check-out is at 12:00, though guests can stay the whole day. Dogs are allowed inside the bedrooms, but not on the furniture.
