Palais Amani is a family-run property with 21 rooms in the former home of one of Fez's most prominent families. Both the mezzanine and the luxury junior suites feature a master bedroom, an elegant salon, and a bathroom with a choice of either a bath or shower. The classic rooms are cosy and low-beamed, with views over the garden or the medina. Some suites offer garden and hill views and include stained glass windows and a living room. Dishes include creamy avocado goats cheese tart and spiced roasted poussin stuffed with red olives and preserved lemons. Guests can follow a detective trail around the architecture of the building or take a two-hour personalized initiation to calligraphy with a renowned Fez calligrapher. The Fez Cooking School at Palais Amani is rapidly gaining notoriety. A hike along the hillside provides a taste of Berber life, less than 30 minutes from the city. Guests can meet Dr. Sarah Mliyahe MD, RYT- 200h, a Yoga instructor and psychiatry resident, for yoga sessions.

The hotel is near ornamented entryways like Bab Guissa and the Blue Gate, and is two minutes from a main entrance to the Fes el Bali, the city's main medina and the largest pedestrian zone in the world.
