underwhelming stay
derelict sidingstiff door
The area surrounding the carriages needed tlc. It was like a derelict siding. I did not appreciate that. steps to the carriages were small. i also found our door stiff, it was awkward to open. the mattress was like it was nearing the end of its service.

My "Beautiful One-Bedroom Apartment Garden View" had restored features. The bedroom had ample space for luggage storage. The modern bathroom included updated fixtures, AND i noticed a rainfall shower. Breakfast provided a good start to the day, and the staff assisted with every request. I enjoyed the overall experience.
The wifi signal WAS occasionally weak in certain areas of the room. I found this to be a small inconvenience.

The hotel is located in a peaceful setting. I found it to be ideal for a relaxing getaway. The grounds are well maintained with easy access to nearby walking trails. This provided opportunities for outdoor activities. A local pub sits just down the road.

Breakfast offered fresh fruit and pastries to start. I found it to be a good beginning to each day. The fine dining carriage, named Edna, had been excellently restored. The service was both friendly and efficient.

The room had original features. The hotel has restored them beautifully. It had a comfy bed. The bathroom included modern amenities and a very nice shower. I found the room temperature well-regulated.

the staff were warm and accommodating. the afternoon tea was great. the setting is creative and unique.
the carriage could use a good airing out. i noticed an awful damp smell upon entering, especially considering the price i paid for the night. the bed looked comfy but it wasn't.

the carriage presented beautifully for my two night stay. the room was cleaned after the first night. coffee in the room was fabulous. breakfast was perfectly cooked and tasty.
the area around the carriages seemed derelict. steps up to carriages were very small and worn. the mattress reminded me of it was nearing the end of its service, it was uncomfortable.
